I had recently been feeling really down about myself... weight wise. But I'm like pretty much every other girl in the world. I had to realize that I could indeed do something about it. I had to accept that I'm, of course, different from every other walking female human being.
I realized that most of the females I looked up to and aspired to look like were airbrushed to look thinner. Some of them actually already very thin, which I was very taken aback by.
I questioned myself; "So why do I HAVE to be skinny?"
I, in the past, had come up with ridiculous answers as to why I wanted this to be.
1. I'd look better in different clothes.
2. More people would look differently at me in better ways.
3. I'd be noticed in public more often.
4. I could eat whatever I wanted when thin.
5. I would feel less self conscious when wearing different things or doing different things
6. I would feel more comfortable when doing physical activities.
and lastly...
7. I would love myself more.
The last one was the worst one I had ever thought. I had manipulated myself into thinking I couldn't even lose one tiny pound because I would never accept myself in any form anyway.
I then went on to looking at different kinds of models; PLUS Size models.
This was better. I recommend all you curvier girls to do this as well.
I realized that all of them looked damn gorgeous in what they had worn and what they did and how people saw them! I felt like I finally belonged in the world of "gorgeous" people. Curvy people are pretty, so, that means I must be too!
I'm not saying that thin people aren't either, but, it's just how THEY were built. We all have to realize that we're all built differently and that we will always be able to shape ourselves. Before one can look better on the outside, they must feel better on the inside.
So, if you like being skinny, you stay at it! Eat those damn brownies and do absolutely nothing afterwards
And ALL You Curvy girls out there! You may eat a brownie as well! Just remember how you feel about yourself is the most important. And HEY! If you're like me, after you eat a brownie, just go for a walk or drink a ton of water! You'll feel so much better about yourself and think "I deserved that brownie, even without all that exercise." Because, you love yourself... and that's a big step right there.
Thank you for reading.
Love, Charlotte
